Let It Snow.....

Oh, the weather outside is frightful.......

But, oh so very delightful!

Snow started falling yesterday around 12:30 and didn't stop until almost dark. We lost power for about three hours in the late afternoon/early evening. It was getting dark, so it was fun to hang out by candle light. I had just pulled out the blankets and sheets for the sleeper sofa, and we had just started a fire when the power came back on. The girls were a little disappointed. We considered still sleeping in the family room, but we weren't sure if Gib's school would be cancelled. (We knew about 8pm last night that the girls' schools were closed.) Since Gib gets up at 4am and since our power was back on, we decided to go ahead and sleep as usual. We're going to have a family night one weekend, build a fire, pop some popcorn, pull out the sleeper, and watch a movie. The girls loved that idea!

Gib checked the internet this morning, bright and early, and fortunately, he got to stay home with us, too! So, at 8am, he, Jessica and Emma Grace were getting dressed to start sledding. I am not a morning person, but I dragged myself out of my warm bed to go outside and have fun with them. I'm SOOO glad that I did!! I wouldn't have wanted to miss this!

Emma Grace had never been sledding before......

Jessica was reliving memories from six years ago, but trying something new this time...

The girls have been in and out today, but its been so nice to have everyone home with me! The sun is shining bright, and the temp is warming up, so we will enjoy it while its here. It doesn't often snow like this in GA!

Love,
Tonya
