I'm a Big Kid Boy Now!
Matthew got his first haircut yesterday. He was instantly transformed from looking like a little baby to a big boy. Amazing what a difference just a few snips here and there can make.

And just a cute picture of how he uses his mouth as a third hand...
OH MY GOODNESS! Tonya, you aren't lying!!! It totally made him look older... That made me get a lump in my throat... I am such a sentimental sucker. You know I am so thrilled with each passing milestone especially after not getting to celebrate them with Samuel, but at the same time my heart just goes gulp... How can time be passing so quickly??? Love you friend... Can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks if you are still game:) Sara

An Angel opened the book of life and wrote down my baby's birth. Then she whispered as she closed the book, "Too beautiful for earth". Author Unknown
Remembering by Elizabeth Dent
Go ahead and mention my child, The one who died, you know. Don't worry about hurting me further. The depth of my pain doesn't show. Don't worry about making me cry. I'm already crying inside. Help me to heal by releasing, The tears that I try to hide. I'm hurt when you keep silent, Pretending he didn't exist. I'd rather you mention my child, Knowing that he has been missed. You ask me how I was doing. I say "pretty good" or "fine." But healing is something ongoing. I feel it will take a lifetime.
Books That Have Helped Me On My Journey Of Grief
"The Good Grief Club" by Monica Novak "Holding On To Hope" by Nancy Guthrie "Life Touches Life" by Lorraine Ash "Dear Cheyenne" by Joanne Cacciatore-Garard "In Faithfulness, He Afflicted Me" by Lynnette Kraft --------------- I've read many books, but these have touched me the most and have made me feel less alone in my daily struggle and walk through grief.
